Stop in and check us out!

The Montello Public Library is the heart of the city of Montello.  We are a lifelong learning institute that empowers people with materials, services, and a welcoming staff.  We also add an economic boom to downtown Montello, as many of our partners (patrons and community players) frequent local businesses. It is our mission to assist all of our partners with their educational, recreational, and cultural needs.  Today we circulate more than 52,000 items annually.  Come visit us today!

Reflecting on Teen Read Week

The staff at the Montello Public Library like to thank all the teen partners and sponsors who helped make Teen Read Week 2011 a success.   We'd specifically like to thank John and Charlotte Hoffmann from Rendezvous Paddle & Sports, Cheryl from Kwik Trip in Montello, and Bill Lind from Holliday.   Congrats to all winners and everyone who participated!

Thank you "Friends"

Once again, our hard-working and supportive Friends group has come through and provided the library with "extras" that would not be possible through our regular library budget!  Recently, the Friends of the Montello Public Library have paid for an addition to the e-book collection through the Winnefox system ($290+), outdoor beautification supplies (and hours and hours of hard work in the perennial garden - Thanks Dee, Connie and Donna) and a soon-to-be up and running brand new coffee/tea/cocoa station.

Banned Books Week is September 24-October 1
